Conclusion to the Confusion & Big News!

Hi Fellow Pet Lovers,

This is to clear things up about the illegal breeding facility in Mogyoród.
After contacting people some days ago, and spreading news through the media like wildfire, we finally won!

TV2, one of the biggest channels in Hungary decided to cover the incident, thus helping the forces to realize what a ridiculous mistake they made when they started taking away the puppies from the owners. (Video & report here in Hungarian)

I'd like to first sum up the story, the longer version can be found here:
52 dogs were found in Mogyoród, where an illegal breeding facility has been reported by a local woman.
Állatvédőrség, another group of enthusiastic pet-lovers went to the spot, along with the League who supported them with vans, to help them with transportation. They then realized that it is much more than 'simple' illegal activity, as the dogs were kept in little cages, so it could be categorized as animal abuse. The police forces were notified and called to the spot.
The problem possibly appeared when, before the investigation and the final decisions were made by the police, the woman who was the legal owner of the dogs, decided to renounce her right for the dogs, so after the papers were filled and the lady signed the papers that claimed that the owners were now the Organization of Állatvédőrség, they were responsible for taking care of the dogs.

Then, after the Police decided not to confiscate the dogs completely (so that they could leave the dogs with Állatvédőrség), the case seemed allright, but months later they decided that they needed to take the dogs however. This caused all  the problems and the questions, but as law says, the lady against whom the report has been filed, is no longer the owner of the dogs, they belong to the organization now.

Hopefully the two puppies will soon return to their owners, as they are the rightful people to have them. It was surely the biggest wake-up call for legal forces, telling them to do their jobs properly and watch out for pet-rescue teams. They only want the best for dogs and as they have a wider knowledge about what is rightful and appropriate, the cooperation of the two groups would be highly advisable, but this is only my opinion.

And now ~ Onto the Big News!!

The Pet Rescue League has been extended!
The League started to train rescue dogs that can help find survivors if any catastrophy happens. During training, they are motivated with treats, and they will be available to help in Budapest and the surrounding area.

They also got special clothing, trainers and dogs aswell, with the text 'Special Forces' written on them, so that they are visible anywhere. Also, the logo of the league is visible on the vest.

Good luck with the rescue missions, guys!
